Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
Hi! My name is Zilthus!! Bet you're wondering how I got such a cool name? Well, I made it. Yeah, you could say I am pretty creative! My hobbies consist of hopping dimensions and binging movies! I have been creating since I was a wee little lad. Ever since I got my tiny little baby hands on a pack of crayons, I have been unstoppable.
When and how did you get into social VR?
I joined VRChat around early 2017! I remember asking my grandma for a VR headset for Christmas and then when I got it I was so excited to finally check out the virtual world. When I put it on I remember being in absolute awe with this new environment.
“I find joy in taking my pieces of art and putting a story behind it! Whether it be two guys falling in love while also traveling through lost memories in limbo, or a little rabbit trying to find his way back home while conversing with cosmic horrors.”
What interests you most about social VR?
Something that interests me most about social VR is the chance to connect with creators from around the world and explore the diverse ways they express themselves.
What is your go-to way of expressing your creativity?
My go-to way of expressing myself is story writing! I find joy in taking my pieces of art and putting a story behind it! Whether it be two guys falling in love while also traveling through lost memories in limbo, or a little rabbit trying to find his way back home while conversing with cosmic horrors.
Who or what inspires you?
Something that inspires me and my work is my dreams! Every world I make and story I write I usually get from dreams I’ve had!
What is the origin of your username?
It’s an incredibly long story, so, to make it short… My old internet friend and I were on Skype. We were thinking of names for our original characters and my friend gave me a name along the lines of “Sylthus” and I misread it as “Zilthus.” And now… here I am!
How do you feel about the future of VR?
I am excited! Every day, newer and newer advancements are made within the VR community and I am very excited to be able to watch it advance and grow. I feel as if it will grow in a way to help people more, whether it be basic tools or full educational systems!
