Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
Hi! I went to school for a BFA in Theater (that I didn’t finish), so I love finding new and interesting methods of creative expression. I worked in animal welfare for five years, which was cool, but I barely had any energy to be artistic. These days I’m focusing on family and personal stuff while also stretching my creative brain muscles whenever I’m able.

When and how did you get into social VR?
In 2020, my brother bought a Windows Mixed Reality headset from a friend and convinced me to try it out. My first night on VRChat, I stayed up all freakin’ night playing a Fall Guys world with strangers. I knew I’d found something really special.
What interests you most about social VR?
So many things! The main thing is probably how some of my insecurities that I deal with in person are either not as strong or are nonexistent in VR, mostly things relating to body image.
What is your go-to way of expressing your creativity?
Singing and humor are the big ones. I looove storytelling through music and theatre, and I also love making my friends laugh.
Who or what inspires you?
My friends are huuuuge inspirations to me! I also find inspiration in a lot of works of animation and the people who create them. I love me some good animated shows.
What is the origin of your username?
There’s a song from the musical Heathers titled “Lifeboat.” I related to the song a lot at the time, and the username “lifeboat” was taken. So, I thought “toast” was the best thing to put in place of “boat.”
How do you feel about the future of VR?
Optimistic! There will always be bumps in the road since, y’know, we’re humans, but I believe there are enough bright, kind, innovative people in the space to propel it in the right direction.
